DIRECTOR & INSTRUCTOR
After developing a love for yoga and its benefits herself, Erin wanted to share this with as many people as possible. As a Primary School Teacher and mother to two children, she could see how the many benefits of yoga could help enrich children’s lives. Erin also identified a need for yoga in schools as many students today struggle not only with their flexibility, but also their ability to stay focused and concentrate.
Another challenge presented to children today is that they are incredibly BUSY and have lost the valuable skill of winding down and relaxing. These are some of the benefits that yoga can bring to children and so School Time Yoga was born!
Erin completed her yoga for kids speciality training through Rainbow Kids Yoga. In addition to this, she is a qualified and VIT registered Primary School Teacher with many years of classroom experience. Erin has a Bachelor of Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and is currently completing a Master of Education.
Yuliya started on the path of Yoga in 2008 after moving to India with her husband and 2 kids. After getting her first qualification at Sivananda School of Yoga in 2009 Yuliya felt the need to share her passion for yoga with other people including her own kids. Yuliya started teaching mother and toddler classes and young kids classes in Bangalore working with many local and expat kids, teaching to them yoga asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques ), relaxation, healthy eating habits, respect for themselves and their bodies and many other components of yoga practice.
In 2010 Yuliya continued her education with Swami Yogaratna of Bihar School of Yoga taking part in a 6 moths long intensive course for Yoga teachers, deepening her knowledge on different aspects of yoga .The final part of the training took place at the main ashram of the BSY in Munger, India.
Since then Yuliya has taught a variety of classes in Los Angeles, CA and is looking forward to sharing her experience and passion for yoga with adults and children in Melbourne.
Cyndi started her yoga journey in 1990 while a university student. It was the perfect balance to a stressful, busy life. Since then, yoga has been an integral part of her every day life. Upon starting a family, she began ‘playing’ yoga with her children from day one and as a result, yoga has become a favourite family time activity.
After a few years of ‘playing’ yoga with her kids, she realised she really loved sharing her practise with others and thus began her journey as a yoga teacher! She studied at a studio in Japan and began teaching yoga classes while home schooling her children.
As our world becomes more fast paced and hectic, Cyndi sees children profoundly affected by the stresses of a hurried lifestyle. Helping children cope and let go of stress and tension has become her passion.
